He currently serves as the president of the practice.  As a member of the Tidewater Orthopaedics team, he shares our commitment to providing excellent subspecialty care.

Dr. Sablan received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Indiana, before continuing on to earn his doctor of medicine degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City, New York. For postgraduate training, he completed his residency at the University of Connecticut in Farmington,Connecticut and his fellowship at the world-renowned Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles, California. In Los Angeles, Dr. Sablan served as assistant team doctor to the Lakers, LA Kings, Anaheim Ducks, Los Angeles Dodgers, and the PGA Tour, as well as college and high school sports teams.

Sports medicine and shoulder doctor Nicholas K. Sablan, M.D., sees patients in Hampton, VA as well as Williamsburg, VA.

Dr. Sablan and his family, his wife and four children, are happy to be in Hampton Roads, given that it’s a quieter area with good weather and many young families. Dr. Sablan enjoys sports and having the ability to return patients to their active lifestyles. Both of his parents are doctors as well, so he grew up appreciating the profound impact this profession has on a patient’s life. His interests include plenty of family time, basketball, tennis, and travelling.
