Knee replacement surgery removes degenerated cartilage from the knee joint and replaces it with implants. This is done to restore function and eliminate pain. Our physicians perform computer assisted robotic knee replacements. Robotic surgery provides the patient with increased precision and accuracy and makes the knee replacement less invasive.
Hip replacement surgery removes diseased or damaged portions of the hip and replaces them with implants. This is done to restore function and mobility in the hip joint. The anterior approach to hip replacement allows the surgeon to work between the major muscle groups and preserve muscle tissue. This may minimize recovery time for the patient.
Shoulder replacement surgery removes damaged or diseased head of the humerus (ball) and cartilage of the shoulder joint and replaces it with an implant. The surgeon joins the repaired shoulder components to form the new shoulder joint. This is done to restore function and mobility for the patient.
