Foot Specialist Providing Comprehensive Foot and Ankle Care to Patients from Hampton, Williamsburg & Newport News, VA
Dr. Paul Maloof, the fellowship-trained foot specialist at Tidewater Orthopaedics, provides comprehensive clinical care and surgery to address foot and ankle conditions. Foot pain is very common, and that’s understandable when you consider that an average person walks more than 100,000 miles over the course of a lifetime. Serving Hampton, Williamsburg, Newport News, and the surrounding Virginia communities, Dr. Maloof is the only full-time orthopaedic surgeon and foot specialist in Hampton Roads who focuses exclusively on providing all aspects of foot and ankle care.
At Tidewater Orthopaedics, our foot specialist works closely with a team of other experts to diagnose and treat a variety of foot and ankle conditions, including:
- Foot pain
- Fractures, sprains and other injuries
- Achilles tendonitis and tendon ruptures
- Bone spurs
- Equinus contracture
- Haglund deformity
- Morton’s neuroma
- Plantar fasciitis
- Complications of diabetes
- And more
Although Dr. Maloof is a highly skilled and experienced orthopaedic surgeon, he generally views surgery as a last-resort. Instead, Dr. Maloof’s primary goal as a foot specialist is to provide effective treatment using the most conservative methods possible. For instance, many patients do well with non-surgical treatment options, such as medications, splinting, bracing, and physical therapy (we offer a comprehensive, in-house physical therapy program). Additionally, Dr. Maloof is often able to offer solutions to patients who were previously told elsewhere that they were not surgical candidates. Working closely with each patient, our foot specialist creates a highly individualized treatment plan that is tailored to the patient’s unique needs, helping him or her to feel better, regain function, and return to daily activities as quickly as possible.
Tidewater Orthopaedics is proud to be the largest independent orthopaedic practice serving Hampton, Williamsburg, Newport News, and all surrounding Virginia communities, and we are committed to excellence in patient care, education, and research. We know it’s important for our patients to fully understand their conditions and treatment options so they can make informed decisions about their health and well-being.
