MacKenzie Wallace traveled 3,000 miles to join the Tidewater team as a Physical Therapist in September 2019.  She grew up in Montana where she learned an appreciation for the outdoors, but had a desire to help others and left to attend Physical Therapy school at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Upon graduating, she was ready to explore a new area and started working at an outpatient clinic in Everett, Washington.  Although she loved the Pacific Northwest (and drizzling rain), her fiance got into Physical Therapy school at Hampton University so they made the 8 day trek across the country to Hampton Roads.  MacKenzie’s main goal as a Physical Therapist is to create a fun, safe and productive environment which enables her patients to progress toward their rehabilitation goals. She strives to create a teamwork approach to empower her patients and encourage them to keep moving forward.

In her spare time, MacKenzie enjoys exploring Virginia and the new adventures it has to offer.  At the end of the day, she believes there is nothing better than a good book or movie while wrapped in an overlarge blanket.
